Columns

Cast Stone Elements offers a variety of time-tested column designs, including Traditional and Corinthian.  Most of our column styles can be adjusted in height from 3 feet to 9 feet and taller if needed.  Our columns are hand-made with GFRC (reinforced with fiberglass) to ensure strength and lasting quality.  They will withstand the harshest weather conditions outdoors and they meet Green Building Council Standards.  Choose from 15 colors and 4 textures.  Colors are mixed throughout the stone formula so, over time, small scratches and chips are less noticeable.  Columns with large diameters are made in two half-pieces and must be grouted together.  Cast stone columns are not designed to carry heavy loads.  They are primarily decorative and made to wrap around an existing support.   The center of the column is hollow.  Traditional Columns allow for a 4 to 6 inch post, and Corinthian Columns allow for a 3 inch pipe post.   Columns can be cut into sections (at no charge) to give the impression of carved stone blocks, typically applied in an alternating pattern.  Using pre-cut column sections provides a grand appearance, and is easier to install.
